The Employees State Insurance Corporation Headquarters Delhi issued Circular F. 23/13/Confirmation Payment/2017/A/Cs.II dated 4th June, 2026, regarding verification of ESI Funds collected through SBI and certification regarding non-retention of ESIC monies as it was observed that although the amount was collected from employers by SBI, the correspondng funds were not transferred to ESIC and were instead retained by banks for prolonged periods. MOLE Issues Directions to Aggregators to complete their onboarding on eShram portal by 21st June 2026

Under Rule 48(2) of Social Security Rules, 2026 notified on 8th May, 2026, aggregators were mandated to share the details of gig and platform workers engaged through them via API or other electronic modes on designated Central Government portal within 45 days. The Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide Notice No.U-11019/13/2026-GPW dated 1st June 2026, has directed all aggregators to complete their onboarding on eShram portal and complete the requisite API integration with the eShram Portal in a timebound manner latest by 21st June 2026. Wage Ceiling of Rs 15000 notified under Section 2(89) of the CoSS, 2020 w.r.t. EPF under Chapter III

Notification under Section 143(6) of the CoSS, 2020 regarding Rate of Inspection Charges

In pursuance of sub-section (6) of section 143 of the Code on Social Security, 2020, the Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide S.O. 2701(E) dated 29th May, 2026, has directed employers of exempted establishments to pay inspection charges at the rate of 0.35% of wages for EPF Scheme 1952 (minimum Rs.8750) and 0.005% for EDLI Scheme 1976 (minimum Rs.1250), superseding earlier notifications.
